Despite the huge diversity among scientists, the idea that science is a business for old white men is still there. Thus, inspired by many great scientists who we believe should have their stories known, and following the steps of the campaigns #ILookLikeAScientist and #EuPareçoCientista, we created the Hands-On Scientist. Here, our goal is to be a channel for hands-on scientists to tell their own stories and contributions to science, and to show more diverse pictures of what scientists look like. Besides, our bilingual website intends to increase the reach of science communication to English and/or Portuguese speakers.
